The 21st Australian Agronomy Conference is being managed by a team from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, CSIRO, Murdoch University, Curtin University, University of Western Australia and Australian Association of Agricultural Consultants WA  and will be held from 21-24 October, 2024 at the Albany Exhibition Centre.

 

The conference theme  is ‘Adaptive agronomy for a resilient future’.

 

The conference will present and discuss research on the management of grain crops, fibre crops, pastures, livestock and horticultural crops across Australia. The conference has a focus on agronomic research and practices that enhance the profitability, and resilience of farming; and includes research that focusses on future Economic Social Governance requirements around climate change, carbon emissions reduction, biodiversity, and social license.

1.   Managing and modifying soils to improve sustainability and productivity.

2.   Managing farming systems for sustainability, profitability and resilience.

​

3.   Emerging systems, native systems and Innovative agronomy

4.   Management of abiotic and biotic stresses.

6.   Application, integration and adoption of agronomy research into commercial production systems

Engaging field trips and social activities are being planned.
