Welcome to the Australian Society of Agronomy. It is a privilege to take on the role of President and lead the society into a new era. Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated work of past presidents and committees, who have developed Agronomy Australia’s success as the peak professional body for agricultural scientists and agronomists in Australia and New Zealand. The Society represents over 500 members including academics, consultants, government, universities, research institutes and the private sector.

The society has a proud history, cultivated on the innovation and research of those who have come before us. They have laid a strong foundation which I aim to build on by challenging and transforming current practices: encouraging and engaging the next generation of curious and progressive industry professionals who will carry our legacy forward. I invite you to get involved, share your thoughts, and let us know how we can better drive innovation and excellence in agronomy to shape the future of Australian Agriculture.
